Nanizo uses a few small cookies set by our own server. We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time via Privacy choices at the bottom of every page.

nz_sid |
groups your visit into a session for statistics | 30 minutes | EEA: yes; UK, Switzerland: opt-out |
ft |

nz_last |
lets you continue a quiz where you stopped | 30 days | EEA: only after consent or when you join a tournament; elsewhere: no |
nz_done |
avoids suggesting quizzes you just finished | 90 days | as nz_last |
nz_ch |
remembers the challenges you sent, to tell you when a friend has played one | 30 days | no — you asked for it |
nz_rec |
tells us whether a quiz we suggested was opened | 30 minutes | as nz_sid |
nz_ss |
on a visit from an ad: which network and format it came from, so that visit shows the right kind of ads, or none | 30 minutes | as nz_sid |
nz_hop |
marks the page right after a link with tracking tags, so one visit is not counted twice | 1 minute | as nz_sid |
_fbp |
Meta’s browser ID, set only on a visit from a Meta ad, to measure that ad | 90 days | EEA, UK: yes; Switzerland: opt-out |
nz.session_token, nz.session_data |
keep you signed in to your account | 90 days; 5 minutes | no — you asked to sign in |
nz_age_gate |
remembers for a day that an account could not be made, so the age question is not asked again | 1 day | no — needed for the age check |
Set by Cloudflare (our hosting provider)
| cookie | what it does | needs consent? |
|---|---|---|
__cf_bm |
tells people from bots to keep the site available | no — security |
| Turnstile (challenges.cloudflare.com) | checks that a person, not a script, is joining a tournament | no — security |
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and speed without cookies; in the EEA it runs only after you agree. Google Analytics receives data from our server, not from your browser, and sets no cookies on your device; see the Privacy Policy for when we send it.
Where you are matters
- EEA: before you choose, we treat it as “no”: no Player ID for statistics, events are recorded without any ID.
- UK: we count anonymous statistics to improve Nanizo (allowed by UK law with an opt-out); anything related to marketing or Google Analytics needs your “yes”.
- Switzerland: everything above runs unless you opt out.
- Elsewhere: everything above runs; you can still opt out via Privacy choices.
You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working, but tournaments may count you as a new player.
